Privacy Policy

How DEPU Faucets collects, uses and protects the personal data of our business contacts, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Who we are

DEPU Faucets ("we", "us") supplies stainless steel and brass faucets to importers, wholesalers and project buyers. For data protection purposes we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact details are in the final section.

What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website and through business correspondence by email, WhatsApp, phone and trade messages.

This is a business-to-business website. We do not sell to consumers and we do not operate a consumer checkout.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you enquire, request a quotation or place an order you may provide: name, company name, job title, business email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, destination country and delivery address, VAT or company registration details, and the commercial content of your message (models, finishes, quantities, packaging requirements).

Technical information. Our website hosting provider may record basic server log data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, requested URL and timestamp. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors.

We do not collect payment card data on this website, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own. We do not run analytics, advertising, remarketing or session-recording scripts, and we do not embed third-party content such as web fonts, maps, video players or social widgets. All images and scripts are served from the same site.

That means no cookie banner is needed to browse this site. The only external destinations are the links we publish: tapping WhatsApp opens the WhatsApp application or website and writing to us opens your own email client. Once you leave this site, the privacy policy of WhatsApp (Meta) or of your email provider applies to what happens next.

Why we use your data, and our legal basis

  • To answer enquiries and prepare quotations - performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in running our business (6(1)(f)).
  • To perform an order - production, packing, export documentation, shipping and customs formalities (6(1)(b)).
  • To keep accounting, tax and customs records - compliance with a legal obligation (6(1)(c)).
  • To follow up on quotations and keep you informed about products you have bought or asked about - our legitimate interest (6(1)(f)). You can object to this at any time and we will stop.

We do not make automated decisions about you and we do not use your data for automated profiling.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is needed to run your enquiry or your order:

  • Freight forwarders and customs brokers - recipient details for shipping and import clearance.
  • Banks - name and payment reference data needed to process a transfer.
  • IT and email service providers - hosting and mailbox services used to store correspondence.
  • Professional advisers and authorities - where required by law, tax, customs or legal claims.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not pass it to advertising networks.

International transfers

We are based outside the European Economic Area, so data you send us is transferred to and processed in China. China is not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

We rely on the safeguards available under GDPR Chapter V, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where they apply to the transfer, and we limit transfers to the data needed for the purpose. Contact us if you would like details of the safeguards applied to your data.

How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries that do not become orders: kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, in case you come back to the same specification.
  • Orders, invoices and shipping records: kept for the period required by Chinese tax, accounting and customs rules, commonly five to ten years.
  • Warranty and claim files: kept for the duration of the applicable warranty period and any open claim.

When the period ends, data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • be informed about how we use your data;
  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have data erased where we have no overriding reason to keep it;
  • restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • withdraw any consent you have given.

To use any of these rights, write to dp.tingluo@gmail.com. We answer within one month. We may ask for enough information to confirm your identity.

You also have the right to complain to your national data protection supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

How we protect your data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access and disclosure: access restricted to staff who need it, devices protected with passwords, and - for commercial documents - transfers made over standard business channels rather than through public file sharing.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending information you consider sensitive through unencrypted web forms.

Our WhatsApp links take you to a service operated by Meta. Any data you share there is handled under Meta's own privacy policy, not this one. Please read it before you use the service.

Children

This is a trade website intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our processes change. The version published here is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell the contacts we hold directly.
